ORDER

ln exercise of the powers conferred upon the Chief Inspector under Regulation 2(d) of the Dock Workers
(Safety, Health and Welfare) Regulations, 1990, Shri Manish Dagadu Bhosale, Service Engineer, M/s. Cargo Gear
Services (1.) Pvt. Ltd., Mumbai is approved as "Competent Person" under the provisions of the Dock Workers
(Safety, Health and Welfare) Regulations, 1990 for the Mumbai Port Authorlty, Mumbai for the purposes of
testing, examination and certification of lifting appliances and loose gears (excluding container spreaders) for a
period of two years from the date of issue of this order subject to the following conditions:

1.. The testing establishment shall submit certificates in respect of calibration of the equipment used for testing
purposes to the Inspectorate Dock Safety, Mumbai and Dock Safety Inspectorates (HQ), DGFASLI, Mumbai
by 31" March every year.
2. The "Competent Person" shall be physically present at the time of testing and examination.
3. The "Competent Person" shall inform the Inspector of Dock Safety, Mumbai and Dock Safety Inspectorates
(HQ), DGFASLI, Mumbai about the date, time and venue of the test and examination to be carried out by
him, well in advance. ,
4. Monthly Statement in the prescribed format regarding the test and examination certificates issued by him
shall also be submitted to the Inspectorate Dock Safety, Mumbai and Dock Safety lnspectorates (HQ),
DGFASLI, Mumbai by 10tn of following month.
5. The "Competent Person" is permitted to carry out the testing of shore based lifting appliances up to a
maximum test load of 2L9 tonnes with dead weights, ship's lifting appliances upto a maximum test load of
18.75 tonnes with dynamometer or dead weights and beyond 18.75 tonnes and upto 219 tonnes with dead
weights only and loose gears upto a maximum test load of 160 tonnes only,
6. The competency may be revoked by the declaring authority at any time without assigning any reason. The
competency will cease on 27.08,2025 after the office working hours or from the date of the competent
person ldaving the organisation or from the date of revocation of this order, whichever is earlier.
7. The Competent Person desiring to seek renewal shall apply at least 60 days before the expiry of his
competency.
